Jack turned 9 months on April 12th.. and I'm late getting this updated! He changes so fast and his development is incredible. He is all over the place. He took his first steps at 8 1/2 months and hasn't stopped moving since. We quickly learned that he's not too into his toys anymore... he'd much rather check out a bathtub, cabinet, toilet, paper, closet door.. anything new he can explore.. so we quickly figured out that we needed to babyproof/jackproof all of the things that could be dangerous.. If he's ever upset or bored:) his favorite thing is for us to open the refrigerator or dishwasher and then he proceeds to pull things off the shelves in the door, and pull things out of the dishwasher (don't worry- he can't reach the knives). He has figured out peek a boo, is a little bit ticklish and has an adorable laugh. He got a singing chicken/duck (i'm not sure which one it is:) for Easter from G&G Krus and tries to dance like it.. check out the video below). He had his 9 month check up and weighed 22 1/2 lbs (75th percentile), was 29 inches long (80th percentile) and I can't remember his head measurement but it was in the 40th percentile.. Poor guy has had recurrent ear infections and in the past 4 months has been on 7 different antibiotics. He was referred to a pediatric ENT- but they can't get him in until May 30th (I wish I had pull in pediatrics!!). So I'm sure he will be getting tubes placed shortly after that appointment. Somehow he's still a super happy little guy during the day.. it mainly bothers him at night when he's sleeping/laying down.
and check out the video at the very bottom.. jack's first attempt at dancing.. to whitney houston while it was on Glee
